Mozilla Release Galore

Today the Mozilla Foundation released 3 new milestones. Most anticipated is the Mozilla Firebird 0.7 release but I snatched the Mozilla Thunderbird 0.3 release as well. I did not install Mozilla 1.5 since I have no use for it any more.

PDC Broadcasts?

Does anyone know if there will be any broadcasts or slideshows available to people who cannot go to the PDC in LA? Would it not be great if all the sessions were recorded and then downloadable to MSDN Subscribers?

Windows Sandboxing

Dylan Greene has a good post about how sandboxing Windows could make computing a lot more secure. Since Longhorn will be using Avalon, which is a .Net API, I don’t see why this would not be possible. .Net already has most of these security features built in and Longhorn will most likely use .Net 2.0, ...

No Idea’s Original

No idea’s original There’s nothing new under the sun It’s never what you do but how it’s done What you base your happines around? Material, women and large paper? That means you inferior, not major

RIAA Makes Me Laugh

Sharman Networks are suing RIAA because RIAA has been using illegal, cracked version of Kazaa to spy on users. The RIAA commented on this with: The Recording Industry Association of America called Sharman’s “newfound admiration for the importance of copyright law” ironic and “self-serving.” Self serving? Bindows 0.92

Today we reased our third Beta of Bindows (0.92). I think we are rapidly progressing towards a 1.0 release. The user feedback has been excellent and we have squashed almost all of the known bugs. Bindows 0.91 (Beta 2) is out

We decided that we wanted to keep the updates coming and therefore I present Bindows 0.91 to you. New in this release is a color picker which is pretty sweet. It uses the HSL color space to allow the user to pick a color from a palette (much like Photoshop). I make the hue-saturation palette ...

TB 0.2 and Blogging

Mozilla Thunderbird 0.2 is out. This version is based on Mozilla 1.5b so it should be even more stable than it has been before (not that it has ever crashed). Main improvements to this build is that it is a bit faster than 0.1. Still it is a bit slow but the features make up ...

Bindows in the Blogs

There has been a few blogs about Bindows while I’ve been on my vacation (as well as a few 100 messages in the Forum) Don Park writes: It seems pretty slow though. I suspect that most, but not all, of the slow speed is due to the server-side misdesigns. Bindows is a client side only ...
