Earthquake
This morning at 04:42 I felt my first real earthquake since moving to San Francisco. It was very short and it was over before I knew it. However, it left me a feeling of emptiness and I felt a lot more frightened than I would ever have expected.

Ah, the difference between a native and a newcomer… Susan mumbled something around that time about “is that an earthquake”, to which I mumbled back “err… I guess… snnnnooorrreee”.

Been her @ 10 yrs. I think that’s the third one I’ve slept through.

Heh, it woke me up too (also my first) - but at the time I thought it was just a big truck driving by or some rowdy neighbors downstairs.
